Two Must-Do Stops in Squamish, BC

November 11, 2019Lauren

*Unfortunately the Sea to Sky Gondola is currently closed due to someone cutting the gondola cable wires down. They plan on re-opening Spring 2020.

The Sea to Sky Gondola was a must-do on our list while visiting Squamish (and it was only 10 minutes away from our Airbnb). Heyo! A view you don’t have to work for (well unless you really want to hike up to the summit). Tickets for the gondola are around 20 US dollars per person. And we definitely suggest hitting up the gondola to catch the sunset (even though we did not get super epic views) we would love to try again next time! The ride up to the summit provides sweeping views of Howe Sound, the majestic coastal forest and surrounding mountains. It was truly magical. Once you get up to the top, there are a variety of things to do. Go relax and grab a cocktail or dinner up at their restaurant and bar (of course we had to get fancy cocktails up at the summit)! Or if you;re feeling more adventurous, head over to their suspension bridges, viewing platforms, hiking trails, or rock climbing areas. We recommend taking Panorama Trail to find The Chief Overlook viewing platform.

As you’re driving through beautiful Squamish, BC with all of the beautiful mountains and views of the Howe Sound, you definitely have to stop by this magical waterfall! You can literally see it in all it’s glory driving on the sea to sky highway. We didn’t even plan to come see this, until we were driving to the Sea to Sky Gondola and saw it on our drive there. It was utterly stunning, and I knew we HAD to stop by here on our stay in Squamish. We decided to pop over on our way to Whistler since the trail isn’t even really a “trail.” Just a nicely paved sidewalk to a drop dead gorgeous waterfall. A perfect scenic stop that you definitely won’t regret!
