Stay at this Magical A-Frame Cabin near Mount Rainier

July 23, 2020Lauren

We were extra excited to stay at and getaway to this beautiful A-Frame near Mount Rainier after being quarantined in our 500 square foot apartment for far too long. We had originally planned on staying here in April for my birthday, but with all the craziness happening in the world, we rescheduled it for the end of June. We were so ready to relax, reset, and zen out (especially in that beautiful cedar hot tub, wowza).

Trails nearby

Nestled in a cute and quiet neighborhood of Packwood, Washington, this cabin has amazing access to Mount Rainier National Park (only a quick 10 minute drive)! So accessing trails to go explore and hike around Mount Rainier National Park is so easy! Some amazing trails near the cabin that you can go explore your heart away that include:

Just to name a few! Be sure to do your research and know before you go. We went there in late June and a lot of the trails are still inaccessible from ice and snow cover. AllTrails or WTA Trail reports are a great way to research and see recent trail reports to make sure you will be able to hike the trail safely.

The drive to the cabin from Seattle itself was completely magical. Amazing views of Mount Rainier, evergreen forests towering over the road, and beautiful viewpoints to stop at and snap some photos (skrrrrrrt)!

About the cabin

“Chateau Marmot is a luxurious, modern A-frame cabin within a half hour of Mount Rainier National Park, White Pass Ski Area, and some of the most breathtaking hiking on the West Coast. Amenities include a cedar hot tub, Weber gas grill, hi-fi stereo, fireplace, balcony, deck, and fire pit. We’re just 2.5 scenic hours from Portland and Seattle, and we’re dog friendly.”

This cabin was exceptionally beautiful. The cedar hot tub, patio with string lights, retro and modern interior decoration. It truly had it all. AND an incredible cedar soaking hot tub to relax in after a hard day of hiking. All the extra and thoughtful touches truly made it so unique. It is dog friendly! Which we always LOVE so we can bring our fox dog Kota!

It was so cozy and the perfect place to relax. We tried to spend as much time here as possible to soak it all in. It sleeps 7 and has 2 Queen Beds, 2 Sofa beds, and 3 single beds. It was bright, airy, spacious, and the interior was completely breathtaking. There’s also a TON of elk around the area that just wander right into the yard. There was a family/group of 10 that were just hanging out across the street. We love wildlife so it was so awesome to be able to see so many elk!

As soon as we arrived we made a romantic little picnic on the back deck. Cheese please!
