A Romantic Treehouse Getaway near Snohomish

Treehouse Place at Deer Ridge is a stay you must experience tucked away near Snohomish, Washington. A small, and cozy town that is also close to plenty of hiking trails! Treehouse Place is about a 45 minute drive from Seattle, which was perfect since it wasn’t too far of a drive on a Friday after work. We saw this listing on a site called Hipcamp which has amazing suggestions and lists of incredible getaways – from glamping, camping, to magical cabins and treehouses like this one. When you arrive at the treehouse, they built this adorable platform and steps you “hike” up in order to get to the treehouse – with magical string lights and lanterns illuminating the way. The cabin has a small kitchen, so pack light! We crammed a fair amount of things in their mini fridge though! It has an induction heating pad for cooking meals inside, as well as a grill out on the patio. What really steals the show and was completely unique about this place was the bathtub that is front and center when you enter this treehouse. The tub is tucked away next to a flat screen tv and a fireplace. The owner also left us fresh towels, robes, and a bottle of wine! It was completely cozy and very romantic! It really felt like our own private spa retreat in the woods. From the windows, the forest and ferns surround you as you take a soak after a long hike. It was incredible. Putting a large tub and fireplace combo on our future home wish list. We want to give an honest review and let you know this stay is not for everyone. This treehouse is a tiny home! 220 square feet to be exact! So be prepared to be snug! It is on someone’s property (you can see their house from the treehouse) so if you are looking for something more private, it is not for you. BUT it did feel very private and we never heard or saw the owner there at all! And it also has a composting toilet which was definitely different and an experience! We love this magical treehouse to death for how unique it was, and was the perfect weekend getaway not too far from Seattle!
